Botanical Art Prints-Athyrium Filix-Anne Pratt. "Venturati Potivs" in a Bronze frame measuring 17" wide x 22" High. Anne Pratt was a botanical illustrator from Strood, Kent. She was one of the best known English botanical illustrators of the Victorian age. Due to poor health and a stiff knee in childhood she missed out on "outdoor activities" and was encouraged to occupy herself by drawing. She moved to Brixton, London in 1826 where she developed her career as an illustrator. Sold separately, there is another piece which forms a pair.
