Majolica Shell on Sea Serpent Base with Swan and Children

A beautiful Majolica piece with Children riding atop a pink shell adorned with a swan, which sits on a sea serpent base. The serpent is black and ends on a brown circular base with yellow shells. Various reeds protrude above the serpent. The interior of the shell is turquoise. It measures 10" wide x 7" deep x 15.5" high. C. 1860
